A free Kids4Equity activity
Today I Feel…
When a child can’t find the words for a feeling, a picture can be a place to start. Color, write and talk about their day together.
Free to open and print.

How to use this activity
How are you feeling today?
Print the Today I Feel page and offer crayons or pencils. Kids can color how they feel, then write about their day. You can help with writing if they ask.
Let your child lead
Give them time to choose their words. If they want to share, ask, “Would you like to tell me about your page?”
You don’t have to solve the problem right away. Start by listening. You can say, “Thanks for telling me,” or “That sounds like it was hard.”
Try it again another day
Feelings can change. Keep a few copies handy and come back to the page when your child wants to.
You might fill out your own page alongside them. Tell them about something that made you happy, sad, or frustrated today.
